Demolishing concrete beam
Why did I purchase a Bosch Machine again ?
Well basically I had accidentally used my medium power GBH 2-28 DV to chip plasters mostly and occasional concrete walls. This light weight machine passed it with flying colors till it eventually failed after 2 months. You can check the review here Bosch GBH 2-28 DV Review
The reason it failed was because I pushed the power tool too far beyond it’s limits and it still lasted 2 months, which proved the robustness of the machine. But the best power tool for such heavy applications should have been the dedicated GSH 11E Demolition hammer. Please note the Bits used in this machine are different from the SDS Plus model I reviewed earlier. The GSH 11 E uses SDS-Max bits which are larger.
FUNCTIONS:
Speed Selection – Based on application, speed can be varied and used.
Service Display Light – Indicates carbon Brush change.
Auxilliary handle can be adjusted and rotated 360 degrees.
PERFORMANCE
This is a very powerful tool and so far it has worked flawlessly for 6 days. Speed seems constant despite the work load and vibrations and noise seem minimal too. It has been able to demolish concrete beams without any struggle nor extreme heating.
This machine is a bit heavy at 11 Kg’s so probably carrying it and chipping high walls will be difficult.

RELIABILITY:
Too early to talk about it but you can be damn sure I will be very unhappy if this machine fails in 2 months since I’m now using it under it’s optimal conditions.
Just make sure you use this machine only to break concrete. Using it on hard rock will damage it’s armature and coils, so beware.
WARRANTY:
I’m not sure how Bosch India is going to honor my warranty again as on their website the warranty say’s 1 year but the dealer who sold it to me say’s that it’s just 6 months or whatever manufacturer provides.
PRICE:
I purchased this again from eBay for a price of 24,000 Rs (MRP 50,000 Rs).
CONCLUSION:
This seems to be a good machine and I feel it should have been purchased much earlier. But let’s see now whether it will be reliable under more usage since it’s going to perform in it’s optimal limits.
